Where to set the notification for my live chat

At Comm100, we provide multiple sound notifications for new visitors, new chats, new responses, chat ended, transferring chat, agent message, and exception.

You can customize these sound notifications in your Agent Console window.

Step by Step Instructions

  1. Log in to your Comm100 Agent Console App.
    If you are not using the Desktop App, log in to your account, and click Get Online & Chat from the left navigation menu.
  2. Move your cursor over to Preferences and click Live Chat.
  3. Go to the Notification tab and choose a proper sound option from the drop-down list for different scenarios.
  4. Click the play icon to play the selected sound and adjust the volume according to your needs.
  5. You can also turn on or turn off popup notifications for certain alerts that will show at the bottom right corner of your computer screen. 
  6. Click OK.

When you use Web App on a browser that supports HTML5 notifications (like Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and more) for the first time, you will be asked whether let Comm100 Live Chat send you notifications. If you disabled the feature by accident, you could follow the steps below to turn on the notification.

Notifications on Chrome

  1. Click the Chrome menu icon in the top-right corner of the browser window.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Click Privacy and security.
  4. Click Site Settings.
  5. In the dialog that appears, scroll down to the Notifications section.
  6. Check whether comm100.io domain (For example, https://dash11.comm100.io:443) is blocked. If yes, please delete the record manually.
  7. Refresh the Web App page, and you can enable the notification.

Notifications on Safari

  1. Click Safari in the top-left corner of the menu bar.
  2. Go to Preferences.
  3. In the Notifications section, allow comm100.io to show alerts in Notification Center.

Note: Comm100 also provides mobile apps, allowing you to take chats from anywhere.
