It only takes one weak password from one employee to start a cybersecurity incident which could impact our whole company.

Colgate has consolidated systems to a single Okta login for improved security and application access. 

However, recent cyberattacks linked to weak employee passwords highlight the need for stronger security.

It is your responsibility as an employee to create a complex password and not re-use this on any other system, including personal accounts. 

A passphrase is the easiest way to create a complex password which is both easy to remember and cannot be guessed. 

Consider passphrases like “Puppy2K9andKitten2Feline” or “ILove2BrushMy32Teeth”, which are much stronger than a simple password. Using “Colgate123”, “Colgate@1” or “Hills123” is NOT a complex password since hackers use these known patterns as part of their attacks.
