For deceased discharged patients Medicare requires two pieces of information on the claim. First, is the Patient Status of 20-Expired. Second, you'll need to add an Occurrence Code of 55 with the date of the death. This can be accomplished in Billing Manager by adding it it in claim worksheet and save and close.  (Note: DO NOT click "REFRESH DATA" IT WILL ERASE INFORMATION ENTERED. IF, EOE Claim IN PENDING PAYMENT CAN MARK REJECTED.  No need to void EOE and RAP.)
