Delete Patient

Test/mistake patients cannot be ‘deleted’ entirely from the system, but they can be hidden which will prevent them from pulling to reports in WellSky.  Users with the Add and Edit Patient Information and Access Reports/Admin roles can make the test patient a non-admit. From the test patient's Episode/Benefit Period Manager page:

1. Click Edit from the blue toolbar
2. Select Episode or Benefit Period where applicable from the submenu
3. Select the Inactivate Episode / Benefit Period checkbox
4. Click Update Details (Note. If the test patient only has one episode/benefit period, then they will pull to Pending Admissions once it has been made inactive.  If the test patient has multiple episodes/benefit periods, then they all must be made inactive before the patient will appear in Pending Admissions.)
5. Click Go To from the blue toolbar
6. Select Reports/Admin from the submenu
7. Select Pending Admissions
8. Select Non-Admission next to the test patient
9. Enter a Non-Admission date of 01/01/1900
10. Click Complete Form
 
Once completed, the patient will no longer appear within Patient Manager or on any of the reports in WellSky.  If you do not have access to edit patient information or Reports/Admin, contact your Agency Administrator to have the roles assigned.
