How to Find my Saved Password

If you can't remember your password, you can try searching for it on your device, if you've saved it. This is really helpful to know so that you don't have to go to the trouble of resetting your password. Below, you'll find step-by-step instructions on how to view your saved password, for Google Mobile, Desktop, and Safari.

How to View Saved Passwords in Google Chrome - Mobile App

  1.  Open Chrome, tap the three horizontal (or vertical) dots, then tap Settings.
  2. Tap Password Manager.
  3. Go to the list of Saved Passwords and select a site.
  4. Tap the eye icon to view the password. You need to enter your device passcode or choose a way to confirm your identity.

How to View Saved Passwords in Google Chrome - Desktop

  1. Click the three vertical dots in the toolbar and go to Settings.
  2. Select Autofill from the menu on the left.

  3. Select Password Manager.
  4. Scroll down to Saved Passwords and click the arrow next to the password you want to view.

  5. Enter your system password to proceed, then click OK.
  6. Click the eye icon to view the password or the copy icon to copy the password to your clipboard.

How to View Passwords and Passkeys in Safari 

  1. Open Safari.
  2. From the Safari menu, choose Settings (or Preferences), then click Passwords.
  3. Sign in with Touch ID, or enter your user account password.
  4. Select a website, then click the Show Details button.
  5. To delete a password, click Delete Password.
  6. To update or view a password, click Edit, change it, then click Save.
