SUMMARY

The use of removable storage devices (i.e. USB drives, flash memory storage, portable storage devices) is blocked for all corporate managed laptops. As a first step, please be advised to use Colgate approved tool to share files - Google drive.

DETAILS

The following scenarios will continue to work without any functionality change

• Smartphone Charging via USB port (iPhone and Android) 
• External Keyboards and Mice (USB and Bluetooth)
• External Video and Audio USB devices
• Any Hardware based authentication devices
• Other USB devices (except storage devices)

Exception can be requested for either one or both of following use cases

1. You need to access USB storage device (as read only without encryption or write access by using bit locker encryption).

2. You need write access to  USB storage device without bit locker encryption.
