SUMMARY
In order to access domain servers using domain credentials you will now be required to proxy the RDP connection through Secret Server, our Privileged Access Management platform.
DETAILS
This replaces the previous process utilised where a direct Remote Desktop Protocol connection was established between your computer and the target system.
The reason for this change is to improve the level of security by leveraging the features within Secret Server.
Please go through this document for the steps to set up RDP proxy on the secret server.
This document will guide you through the connection process:
1) Gaining access to Secret Server(if you do not already have it)
2) Creating the secret that will be used for launching an RDP session.
NOTE: This document assumes that your domain account already has permissions for RDP access to the server you are connecting to.
