Medicare Annual Wellness Visit (MAWV) is a no touch preventative care exam that includes preventative screenings that help plan and navigate a patient's care moving forward.

MAWVs can only be scheduled once per calendar year (365 days plus one day after last MAWV)

MAWVs do not replace and cannot be combined with a regular follow up or sick visit. MAWVs must occur on a day when the patient has no other provider appointments (nursing visits on same day is ok).

WHEN SCHEDULING PLEASE VERIFY WITH PT THAT THEY ARE WANTING THE MAWV OR IF THEY ARE WANTING TO SCHEDULE A REGULAR APPT OR PHYSICAL EXAM    

Providers who have special MAWV visit types (only schedule MAWV into specified appointments):

Hannah Espera - Hannah has 'adult annual' visit types- MAWV or adult annual should be scheduled into these slots

Dr. Anita Gomez

Chatmanee Winklemair

*All other providers should have MAWV's scheduled into general appointment slot. *
