When a patient calls regarding STD/STI screenings or treatment, follow these steps:

- First, determine if the Patient is Experiencing Symptoms.

If the Patient is Asymptomatic:

• Create a patient case and send it to the triagenurse box marked as urgent.
• Triage will contact the patient and schedule an appointment accordingly.

If the Patient is Symptomatic:

• Document symptoms and timeframes (if the patient is willing to disclose).
• Send a detailed patient case to the triagenurse box, marked as urgent.
• Triage will follow up with the patient and schedule an appointment as needed.
