Scheduling

• Travel consults must be scheduled in person only with Eric at Harkle

• Travel Medicine appointments are FRIDAY only

• Patient does not need to be established

• Register patient in Athena → schedule per grid → send patient case including:

  • Travel destinations (countries)

  • Departure date(s)

Patient Cost

• $31 out-of-pocket fee for the consultation

• Important: Appointment and any recommended vaccines are not covered by insurance. Patients must be advised of out-of-pocket costs at time of scheduling

Consult Details

• Eric will review:

  • Recommended vaccines based on travel location

  • Cost of each vaccine

• Patients must provide a list of all countries they are visiting

• If patient has prior vaccines, they should bring documentation

Timing Guidance

• Vaccines should be completed at least 2 weeks prior to travel

Vaccine Availability

• Typhoid and Yellow Fever vaccines are available in clinic
